    Subroutine UT540 - compute modified Julian Day from date

Arguments

    mdate
    date and time [in/out]

Description

    The subroutine UT540 converts the date (mdate.iyear, mdate.imonth, mdate.iday) and time (mdate.ihour, mdate.imin, mdate.secs) into a modified Julian day (mdate.amjd). The conversion is based on a method of H.Klinkrad.
